On Friday, May 16, reinsurer Swiss Re will publish its results for the first quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n\n

Investors expect Swiss Re to stick to its profit target of USD 4.4 billion for 2025. However, uncertainties remain, especially due to the wildfire damages in California, which were estimated at nearly USD 700 million in February. Another focus is the renewal round for insurance premiums at the beginning of April, where investors will be watching the price trends. Since the beginning of the year, Swiss Re shares have been among the top performers among the Swiss blue chips. While the SMI rose by about 4 percent, Swiss Re shares increased by around 14 percent. Even last year, they showed above-average performance.<\/p>\n\n
